Breakfast from Keto Living Day to Day
Scrambled eggs with sausage gravy and avocados.
The recipes in the Keto Living book are tasty and easy to follow. I would recommend this for the weekend because it needs to simmer around 7-19 minutes and stirred frequently.
Well, made it through yesterday without sugar. It IS getting easier. Tim, who is the reluctant participant - either he has to eat what I cook or he has to cook what he wants - is already noticing difference on the scale. Men seem to lose faster than women.... Ah well.
I was looking through the posts from earlier years and wondered how on earth I had so much energy. A chronic illness that keeps chipping away with physical health, emotional health is so slow that you don't realize until one day you try to step up a stair and you can't. But, I will be optimistic. Every pound down, every day without sugar, every night sleeping better - well they all account for something good. No?
We worked late into the morning on a project Tim had so I apologize for being late in posting, and for making this short - I'm going back to bed.
See you for lunch!
We went to Applebee's for lunch/early dinner because we have been working on projects that needed to be done. The bookstore was on our list of "to do" for today and since we had a couple of more errands to do I thought it would be good if we ate first - Barnes and Nobles does have some delicious goodies (but almost all are carbs) Scanning the menu we found broiled chicken breast with sides that would work and sirloin steaks - so, being the Neanderthal's we are at heart - we chose the red meat.
I had the steamed broccoli and grilled veggies with mine (gave the red peppers to Tim).
Tim wanted some soup with his dinner so he had onion soup, sirloin with green beans and steamed broccoli. We both had unsweetened iced tea and water.
By the time we got home and Tim was out the door, I settled in with a tall glass of water and some pork rinds while I worked on some art....
